This weekend

I haven't really shared my fascination with chairs in art. But you may have seen that in my work already. It was especially exciting then for me to come across these pictures of chairs used in installation art. They were found in Contemporary Art Blogs, a blog showing news feed of contemporary art from a range of sources around the web. I also enjoy seeing light being used in art. So double tick from me for the top two images.

Also of interest this weekend... Director Andrea Arnold commissioned Mumford and Sons to write a song for recent film adaptation of Emily Brontë's Wuthering Heights. Have any of you watched this film?

  1. Why do art colleges persist in making students create work that really only has academic value between faculties and graduates - where engaging with the average Joe soap should be a priority !

  3. I am so dying to see this latest version of Wuthering Heights, and a bit annoyed that it won't be released here before my book is sent to my publisher. oh well, I can't wait to see it, regardless.
